Our Founder and Mission Statement
Founded by Roger Mensah-Cooley in 2019, Black Rose Audio is the premiere company in the world of High-Fidelity Sound reproduction, constructing soon-to-be patented In-Ear Monitors (not you average, everyday headphones) as well as custom speakers. Whether you're in the studio mixing audio on master recordings, back stage tuning a musical instrument for your next big live performance or just looking to hear the full range of notes in your favorite songs, Black Rose Audio has the top of the line audio hardware to bring your music to life!
One day, while taking apart a speaker to figure out how it's driver worked, the inspiration to start Black Rose was born. Roger's love of both music and mechanics drove him to start building custom audio equipment, but his passion to bring the best audio experience possible to the listener as well as creating a purpose driven company with the power to create positive change in the world is what compelled him to found Black Rose Audio. He also realized that one’s passion in life can be used as the vehicle to achieve fulfillment of his or her true purpose. This coincides with another of Roger's passions, providing humanity with knowledge of its ancient past; thereby empowering individuals into manifesting a better tomorrow.
All these unique qualities combine to make The Black Rose Audio company one that is driven, not by maximizing profits or market share at any/all costs, but by inspiring its clients to be better, more conscious versions of themselves. Our audio experience is about more than just sounding better than all the other brands, but one that defies the law of diminishing returns; enabling the individual to explore deeper levels of love and meaning within music.

What our logo represents
Our logo and the symbolism of the rose was intelligently crafted by our founder to represent his roots to the great continent of Africa and his design philosophy pertaining to the intended acoustic performance of his creations. The “Black Rose'' is a spinoff of what Ghana, where his parents are from, is nicknamed, which is “Black Star Nation.” A nod to the flag of Ghana is made with the inclusion of the four colors: red, yellow, green, and black. The rose itself represents the acoustic performance that Roger intends to achieve with all his creations. A rose is a delicate and light-weight object, but a powerful symbol of love. And with that in mind Roger intends to model after the ways of the rose by building loudspeakers with feather-light, weightless, highs and midrange, and with deep, powerful, and articulate bass. Loudspeakers and headphones that truly disappear and become a conduit in which one can hear pure music. The Rose also represents Roger’s deep love and devotion to what he does.
